Perfect with some small issues Posted April 7, 2008, 5:16am by Pie, using Ubuntu Linux Installation of Ubuntu 7.10 was a dream, restricted drivers were installed upon completion and everything seemed to work flawlessly. The only issue I encountered was after installing "World of Warcraft". It seems that the Intel 915GM chipset that is built into this machine has an issue with OpenGL 3d rendering. In the previous WinXP installation ist's necessary to update the driver from Dell to allow the game to run, however I had no such luck with my ubuntu installation. Apart from this relatively small issue i have no complaints as I was able to install and run the game on my desktop PC with no issues whatsoever. Cheers ya know.. was going to think of something witty here but "M$ sucks" just seemed so much easier to type. |
